Job Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer IV, you will be responsible for providing trade-specific system design: layout, calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural, engineering / internal, and external)
Additional responsibilities include:
· Participate in various trade organizations and prepare presentations.
· As appropriate, manages CAD/BIM and other technical staff that is assigned for particular project or tasks as directed by the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
· Assists with employee reviews as requested.
· Estimates construction costs and to evaluate feasibility of construction using ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude)
· Writes engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline is required.
· 3.5+ to 7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field
· EIT certification is required
· PE is preferred or alternate certification (Plbg – CPD, BMS – CEM, FLS – NICET & NFPA).
· Demonstrates ability to make proper system selections with/without supervision of senior designer/senior engineer.
· Demonstrates ability to understand the work of the other trades.
· Exhibits thorough understanding of applying LEED principles to building design.
· Possesses expertise in trade specific design and calculation software.
· Possesses good dispute resolution skills.
· Possesses sufficient knowledge in Revit
