We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead field crews while remaining hands-on with electrical installations. This is a working leadership role where you’ll help oversee daily operations, assign work, troubleshoot issues, and make sure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical construction background, experience leading crews, and the ability to read drawings and manage day-to-day field activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside electricians and apprentices on electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Plan daily work and assign tasks to field crews
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Ensure electrical work follows applicable codes, project specifications, and safety requirements
- Work closely with Project Managers and General Foremen to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Monitor work progress and address field issues as they come up
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and help crews find practical solutions
- Train and mentor electricians and apprentices
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials needed for daily work
- Maintain daily reports, work logs, and other project documentation
- Communicate with other trades, contractors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience
- Previous experience leading electrical crews
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
